Angra have announced that Alírio Netto will handle vocals for their historic reunion performance at Bangers Open Air on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The update follows the band’s major reveal, reuniting their classic Rebirth-era lineup for a special set at Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo. The event will bring together the current lineup and the long-awaited return of Kiko Loureiro, Edu Falaschi, and Aquiles Priester, marking the first time these members have shared a stage since the early 2000s. The show is also set to be Fabio Lione’s final appearance with Angra after a 13-year run as the band’s vocalist.

Regarding Netto’s addition to the lineup, the band issued the following statement:

“Angra is pleased to announce that it will have Alírio Netto on vocals for the historic reunion show at Bangers Open Air, where it will headline on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Alírio is an internationally acclaimed singer, distinguished for his performance in Queen Extravaganza, Queen’s official project, and for his solid career in musical theater, in which he starred in large-scale productions such as We Will Rock You and Jesus Christ Superstar, among others. His versatility, vocal prowess and stage presence make him the perfect choice for this special moment.

“What a happy day, my friends!

Many thanks to Rafael, Felipe, Marcelo my soul brother, Bruno, and Kiko for their trust in this new chapter. I also thank Paulo Baron for his support and welcome at such a special moment..

Thank you Angra fans for welcoming me on this walk which belongs to you too.

I arrive with humility, respect and deep love for this band.

I will do my best to honor, with deep respect, the legacy of Fábio, Edu and the late Andre Matos, great inspirations in my life” – says Alírio Netto.

This show will be presented in three acts that celebrate different phases of Angra’s history. In the first act we will have the current formation, with Rafael Bittencourt, Felipe Andreoli, Marcelo Barbosa, Bruno Valverde and Alírio Netto, with the participation of Fábio Lione. In the second act we will have the Rebirth band, with Kiko Loureiro, Edu Falaschi and Achiles Priester. In the third act everyone will be together on stage in a great celebration of the band’s legacy, which in 2026 turns 35 years old.

It will be a unique night, prepared with respect and a commitment to honoring the band’s path. A special moment of new and old encounters. We look forward to living this historic moment alongside all of you.

See you at Bangers Open Air.”
