Italian doom metal outfit Shores of Null will release their most ambitious effort yet with their new album, Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying), on November 27th via Spikerot Records. The upcoming record will consist of one forty-minute track that will take the listener on a journey through the process of grieving, which is inspired by the five stages of grief formulated by the Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and in her book On Death And Dying. Today (2nd), the band has teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere the song’s second excerpt. “Beyond the Shores (Excerpt II)” showcases the pain, horror, and feelings of despair a person goes through while musically bringing a darkened sound, which enhances the feelings of loss. Some musical layers in this track added classical instruments such as the piano and violins. Those who enjoy My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Swallow the Sun, and Amorphis, will want to give this a listen.
