Hailing from Erie PA, prog/tech death metal outfit Requiem For Oblivion are gearing up for their new EP, Hindsight 2020, out March 5th. The EP is a continuation of their merciless style mixed with atmospheric chaos consisting of five tracks. Lyrically, the music follows themes such as petty strife between people worldwide, self-loathing, and scoffing at conspiracy theories. Today (4th), the group has teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere their new single “Lies and Fire.”

The band comments on the track:

“This was the first song written for the EP with our old guitarist still in the band. The lyrics are a general overview of how sucky humans are and how they destroy each other and the planet without batting an eye. Lies often result in destruction in one form or another. People are very disappointing, adopt a dog or cat.”
