Christmas just got a little bit hotter. Lita Ford has teamed up with former The Runaways bandmate Cherie Currie for a Christmas song. While there has been no official indication of a formal The Runaways reunion, getting into the holiday spirit may just warm up the band’s severed hear strings to bring that possibility a little bit closer. In the past Ford has hinted in interviews that the reunion is always a possibility, depending on Joan Jett’s feelings on the rekindling.

The former The Runaways duo recorded the track “Rock This Christmas Down” in California, according to Blabbermouth. Ford was in touch with Currie after a longtime estrangement and asked the singer if she would sing with her for the song she has  written. Currie then flew in from one of her tour dates and went straight to the studio to begin recording.

Ford, who performed with the Les Paul Trio in June and will be appearing at the Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy  Camp in Las Vegas next year, will release a new live album,”The Bitch Is Back… Live”, October 28th on SPV/Steamhammer.
