emmureWe’ve written about “Bring a Gun to School,” the song that kicks off Emmure’s forthcoming 7th album, before. Since that happened, the band has retitled the song, with the more palatable title “(Untitled).” That’s a bit too late, since every one of Emmure’s fans will likely call it “Bring a Gun to School,” and the damage is done. Now, Lambgoat has uncovered the lyrics to the song, which became available online, and, well, it certainly sounds like it’s about bringing a gun to school. Here are the lyrics:

Get it through your f-cking head
All your friends are f-cking dead
Yeah they got what they deserved
Stop acting hard you know it hurts
Your loved ones living in the dirt

Holy f-cking shit
I’m having too much fun
Killing everyone
That you’ve ever loved

All your friends are f-cking dead
Yeah they got what they deserved
Stop acting hard you know it hurts
Your loved ones living in the dirt

Well, there you have it. Sounds pretty much like it’s about gun violence, and also like it was written by a 15 year-old with ADD. Very mature. Frankie Palmeri might just be playing the agitator here, but all takes is one misguided kid to glom on to this. Even with a different title, this song is awful, and we haven’t even heard what it actually sounds like yet. Eternal Enemies will be out on April 15th, but if you want to preorder it, you can do that here.
