Metallic deathcore sextet Fit For An Autopsy has just announced their fourth album, The Great Collapse, set to unleash its fury upon the world on March 17, 2017. This follows their 2015 release Absolute Hope Absolute Hell and 2016’s split The Depression Sessions with Thy Art is Murder and The Acacia Strain. If anyone was afraid these New Jersey heavyweights were going to follow the trend of getting softer over time, the band’s guitarist and producer Will Putney can put that fear to rest:

The Great Collapse is a reflection on the current chaotic state of mankind’s relationship with the world, and its effect both outward and inward. It’s a very dark and unsettling record that encapsulates a variety of approaches to aggressive music, and a definite expansion of our capabilities as a band.”

The band has dubbed this upcoming album as “The strongest record in our catalog.” Lyrically, this will be a powerful record without a doubt. If the album artwork (by Adam Burke) is a reflection of what is to come, we can look forward to a very dark, very aggressive record. The Great Collapse will be a powerhouse record that will further cement the band’s legacy as one of extreme metal’s best. It will be exciting to see how the band has evolved since their last release and how they push themselves as musicians to paint a picture of the world through their eyes. The band will be on tour with After the Burial, Emmure and Fit For a King. Tour dates can be found after the album artwork.
