It seems like only yesterday that we learned that Darkest Hour recorded their Southern Lord debut with Converge’s Kurt Ballou…oh wait, that’s because it was only yesterday. If you had as mighty a hankering to hear what that collaboration sounds like as we did, you’re in luck – the band debuted the first new song from Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora, “Knife In The Safe Room” today via Metal Sucks. Good news: it sounds like a Kurt Ballou recording! The song itself is a fast one; it has an old school Darkest Hour feel, and is generally pretty simple until the monster guitar solo partway through.
Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora will be available on March 10th, and you can preorder it here.. If this is any indication, it’s going to be one of their best.
