Seattle’s Black Breath impressed a lot of people with their second album, 2012’s Sentenced to Life, and if the first song we’re hearing from their new album, Slaves Beyond Death, is any indication, they’ve upped the ante. The title track to the album, due out on September 25th on Southern Lord, is a moderately long (for them) 5 1/2 minute masterpiece. Starting out with a Crowbar-like swagger, it picks up in intensity as the song goes on gradually picking up in speed. Like the first two albums, it was produced by Converge’s Kurt Ballou at his GodCity studios, so it sounds every bit as rad as the first two albums.
Listen to the song on Revolver, or below, and check them out on tour with Goatsnake, Battalion of Saints and Obliteration. Dates are below the track.
Slaves Beyond Death will be released on September 25th on Southern Lord Records.
