Asking Alexandria Offered An Opening Slot On Charlie Sheen’s Tour

Surprisingly, Asking Alexandria and the ex-Two And A Half Men star have a good amount in common. Both frontman Danny Worsnop and Charlie Sheen’s drug-filled extreme behavior have been highlighted in the media to an excess lately. And it would appear that Mr. Sheen has taken notice of this as well, or at least watched the now infamous fan filmed footage (as we all have).

The band claims that Sheen himself extended an offer for them to be the opening act on his current My Violent Torpedo Of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option Tour. While they were honored to be given the chance, Asking Alexandria’s previous tour commitments have forced them to turn down the offer.  “The group would like to publicly thank Sheen for this special invite and promise him that the tiger’s blood runs deep in all of them. Sheen claims to be a rockstar from Mars, but the real question is if he can hang with these British titans. Hopefully their paths will cross one of these days. Winning!,” a press release from the band stated.

On the same tour, Sheen brought in Otep guitarist Rob Patterson as a musical director. However, many aspects of the tour have since changed after a rocky start on the tour’s first date. For instance, many of the extra videos and comedian openers were taken out of the show for a more stripped down Q&A with the wild thing himself. Since then, though, the tour has still been hit or miss. So how a musical opener would have played out, or how large of a role Patterson still plays on the tour, is unclear. While it would’ve been an interesting combo to see, one train wreck performance is probably enough for Asking Alexandria.
