Yesterday, Fred Phelps shuffled off this mortal coil. The Westboro Baptist Church founder was one of the most hateful people there is, protesting funerals, concerts, and pretty much everyone. Just because the “God Hates Fags” guy is dead doesn’t mean that the fringe hate group he started is going away, but they’re now minus a figurehead. That being said, the WBC inspired a pretty great protest from the Foo Fighters, and before Phelps died, Thy Art is Murder capitalized on his impending death by having a truly inspirational shirt printed up. The limited edition shirt is adorned with a picture of Phelps in a spectacularly douchy cowboy hat and is emblazoned with the phrase “Drop Dead Fred.” We’re usually not ones to celebrate the death of anyone, but considering all the protests WBC has done, we can’t say we’re mad at this shirt. Their orders ship every Friday, so if you pick a shirt up today, you can probably still wring some laughs out while it’s still timely. Pick it up here.
