01) Slayer – “New Faith”

Every Slayer song is pretty much lose-your-sh*t for every brutal second, so it’s hard to pinpoint the more standout moments of ass-kickery. But one of the no doubt all-timers is the guitars, bass, and drums dropping out and Tom screaming acappella, “I keep my bible in a pool of blood so that none of its lies can affect me!” It’s a mouthful to carve into your forearm, though.

Notable Mention: Adele – “Rolling In The Deep”

If you don’t feel this song, you’re a liar, and you know it. You don’t need distorted guitars to channel rage, and holy hell, is Adele f*cking raging. The singsong harmony of “You’re gonna wish you / had never met me” under the main chorus seethes with fire of a woman who is out to hurt you, and that’s a fury that can melt the steeliest of faces.
