I used to play in a band called Normal Love that was by far the weirdest music I have ever played. We played with this group on tour in Ontario and it was terrifying. Though not a metal band, this string octet has the intensity of the most dissonant death metal band you could imagine.

Another group that my former band, Normal Love, played with a few times, this band has gone through lots of lineup evolutions and sound changes. This particular composition, an EP-length single track, is forever ingrained in my memory as one of the most significant musical experiences of my 20s. Another early door opener into the experimental and avant-garde, I had never heard anything like this before and was completely in awe the first time I saw them play this live.
