Borknagar have not only landed in one of our year-end lists with their latest effort, True North, they’ve also fallen in our decade-end list featuring a number of records. We’ve previously spoken to Øystein G. Brun to discuss the emotional journey on the new album, and now we see their upcoming North American tour set for this spring starting to sell-out venues. With so much to look forward to, we spoke to Brun once again, and this time, we asked him to share what his favorite albums of the decade (2010-2019) are.

01) Katatonia, The Fall of Hearts (2016)

02) Ulver, Childhood’s End (2012)

03) Ghost, Prequelle (2018)

04) Blackfield, Welcome to my DNA (2011)

05) Yelawolf, Ghetto Cowboy (2019)

06) Wovenhand, The Laughing Stalk (2012)

07) Riverside, Shrine of New Generation Slaves (2013)

08) Rotting Christ, Rituals (2016)
