After the Burial are still hurting from the loss of their guitarist Justin Lowe. He’d left the band in June following a paranoid rant while recording the band’s new album, and while it was thought that he’d been receiving help at home, he committed suicide the following month. Of course this tragic loss to one of its key members must still be weighing on the band, who pulled out of the Summer Slaughter tour after his death. However, at least they’re commemorating his death respectfully.
The band are selling memorial T-shirts and bracelets in Lowe’s memory, and proceeds from the sales of the items are going to a good cause – make that two good causes. According to Metal Sucks, proceeds from sales of the two items will go to The Wildlife Rehabilitation of Minnesota and To Write Love On Her Arms, whose mission is “presenting hope and fining help for people struggling with depressions, addiction, self-injury and suicide.”
