all-black-chicken-1We already know that the official color of metal is black. So if you’re truly metal, you’ll probably want to head to Burger King or eat some chicken. You could probably do both of those right now, but you wouldn’t truly be doing it the metal way. See, there are now burgers and chicken that are as black as your evil metal soul. Geekologie recently wrote an article about the Ayam Cemani Chicken, a rare chicken from Indonesia. The chickens have a genetic trait known as fibromelanosis which makes everything about them black – its feathers, beak, tongue, meat, bones, and even its organs. The only thing about it that isn’t black is it’s blood, but even that is darker than normal. Because they’re rare, they don’t come cheap though – each chicken apparently costs $2,500.

Meanwhile, if you’re in Japan, you can have something else that’s blacker than the cover of Smell the Glove – Burger King’s black cheeseburger. Several years ago, the fast food chain had a burger that had black buns, made with bamboo charcoal. Now, the “Kuro Burger” (or “Black Burger”) even has black cheese! Like the bun, the cheese is made with bamboo charcoal, but the beef patties are apparently made with black pepper, and has an onion and garlic sauce made with squid ink. There will be two versions of the Kuro burger – the Pearl, which is the burger you see below, and the Diamond, which will come with lettuce, tomato and onions. Either way, if you’re in Japan, your fast food is about to become even more evil – but only for a limited time.
