Metallica to headline major 2020 festivals, play two sets at each

Posted by on October 10, 2019

In what seems like an eternity, the weeks since a small flyer was handed out exiting Louder Than Life has finally come and gone.

Originally rumoured onsite to be an announcement for Metallica being named headliner in 2020, to reading online that lead singer James Hetfield was entering rehab, it really has been anyone’s guess… and guess they have.

Rumours have been flying since October 1st with online sites “leaking” potential lineup announcements, as well as NOT leaking them due to confidentiality restrictions.

Well, the wait is now over!

Danny Wimmer Presents has spoken, and this upcoming concert season concert goers will be seeing double! Double the Metallica that is…

Scheduled to play not one but TWO headlining sets at each festival… both Friday AND Sunday night will be spent head-banging and singing along to all your favourite Metallica tracks.

A total of ten shows will span five different festivals starting with Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, and finishing with none other than Aftershock!
