Repeat after me: “Nodo ga kawaki mashita”. To the best of our knowledge, this is Japanese for “I’m thirsty” and language-wise, this will get you through the day just in case you do make that trip to Ozzfest in Japan next year – because hell, it might just be worth it.

Ozzfest is making its way to Japan on and May 11 and 12, 2013, and as we suspected, Ozzy’s wife and manager Sharon Osbourne, well, managed to bring Black Sabbath back together for the occasion. Both Ozzy and Sharon posted short introductory video statements, with Sharon saying:

Ozzy and I want to tell you that May 2013 we will be bringing Ozzfest to Japan for the first time ever. We are so excited. Please be there because we love you Japan.

But not only Black Sabbath are a safe bet (unlike a certain not-so-safe bat, if you pardon the pun) for the 2013 rendition of the festival that has been in a bit of a halt for the last two years: Slipknot are also slated to play the venue just outside Tokyo, in Chiba City, in the upcoming year. According to the official Ozzfest Japan website it looks like Slipknot will be headlining on day 1 and Black Sabbath on day 2. These are only the first two announcements and we are sure there are yet a few infamous names to come. There is still no word on a possible journey of the 2013 Ozzfest towards the States, but we are keeping our fingers crossed, and our passports ready just in case that doesn’t happen.

To conclude, we, not unlike her husband, let Sharon do the talking:
