In case you’ve been living under a rock or somewhere away from the internet, this month’s issue of Vanity Fair has a special woman on the cover. Namely, Caitlyn Jenner, who for most of her life has been known as Bruce Jenner, ’70s Olympic athlete and patriarch of the Kardashian family.  Her decision to come out as transgender is definitely a brave move and somewhat of a watershed moment. You’d expect someone like All That Remains frontman Philip Labonte to weigh in on the situation, and he did. What’s a little more surprising is that he’s relatively supportive of her decision:

JESUS FUCK SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT JENNER. Every one of you self righteous fuckers who are talking about how brave she is, shut it. And everyone of you fuckers who are bitching cause the PC feminized world gave her an award for courage over someone who REALLY deserved it, all of you. FUCK OFF. Bullshit awards from some random group are worthless. The act was the important part. So let Jenner wait in line for the ladies room in peace, let the PC people talk about how great of human she is, and most importantly shut the fuck up about it. It’s literally not this big of a deal.

It’s commendable that Labonte defends her decision to transition. We’d disagree that it’s not that big of a deal. While Mina Caputo and Laura Jane Grace have changed their gender, Jenner is certainly the most high-profile person to ever do this. Labonte then brought up porn star Bailey Jay in a separate post stating that she is a brave woman “No Vanity Fair cover, just straight up conviction and real courage,” he claims. It’s probably not that big of a surprise, since the libertarian viewpoint is more about letting people do what they want as long as it doesn’t affect them. That being said, he’s thrown around “f” and “n” bombs before claiming they don’t hurt anyone, so maybe he’s a little more enlightened.
