Many thought that it was an overreaction when Juggalos were classified as a “loosely classified hybrid gang.” And sure, Insane Clown Posse fans have certainly participated in their fair share of crimes (many with hatchets, natch), but singling out a group that looks different for the actions of a small minority of them seems like it’s pretty unfair, and it’s not like there isn’t a precedent for that with heavy music. But now, in trendy North Portland, a handful of Juggalos are threatening local businesses with intimidating flyers. “You have been targeted by the Juggalo family to get the fuck out,” the flyers say. “Vacate or suck our dicks.”

The flyers appear to be targeting businesses that have recently moved into the area, which is gentrifying. And while the news report from KOIN mentions the “juggalo family” as the source of the threat. Insane Clown Posse aren’t mentioned, but the flyer features a drawing of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. So either the crack news team at KOIN didn’t do their homework, or they chose to ignore ICP, like many sane people do. And while the news segment says that there have been a rash of car break-ins in the area as well, this is probably just a few bored Juggalos that printed out some flyers after a place they used to hang out in was pushed out by a craft brewery or something.
