1. Metallica (Kill ‘Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets)
Many metal fans go as far to claim that the only Metallica album’s that matter are their first four (including …And Justice For All). We chose to stick with the first three, though, because you can see Metallica evolve on each album. While Kill ‘Em All captures Metallica’s raw thrash origins, Ride The Lightning found the band expanding its sound with longer and more complex arrangements. Yet Metallica to themselves to the next level with Master Of Puppets, still considered one of the best metal albums of all time and Cliff Burton’s last contribution before his tragic death. Though many feel that Metallica haven’t released anything as good as these three albums, they certainly led to Metallica to becoming one of the biggest bands in rock (not just metal).
