Metal Inside(r) Home Quarantine is Metal Insider’s new column during this time of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked artists five questions on what’s been keeping them busy ranging from their favorite movies, food they’ve been eating, music they’ve been listening to and more. We caught up with My Beautiful Suicide’s Ian D. as he’s been spending time filming and directing videos.

What have you been doing to pass time during Quarantine?

Working on music, filming videos, directing videos, playing some crazy board games, writing new music, playing video games, working out…I don’t get bored usually. It was during quarantine that I decided to finally work on My Beautiful Suicide and now that I’m in the creative flow of things, it’s going really well. I can’t wait for these songs to come out.

Have you been listening to any music or have any playlists worth checking out?

New Zao and the latest Project 86 album.

A lot of people have been spending this time cooking including making their own bread, what food have you been prepping during this time?

Beef and rice all the way! And tacos. Lots of tacos…

In terms of entertainment, what movies, TV shows, books, or games have been keeping you busy?

Prisoners is fantastic. I’ve been binge-watching The Ranch on Netflix. I have a game group that meets every Thursday and we’ve been playing through a game called Kingdom Death: Monster. It’s been almost a year and we’re still not finished with the campaign.

What advice do you have for your fans in isolation during this time?

Now is the time to pick up that hobby you’ve been wanting to.
