Amplified is a weekly column focusing on new and emerging artists. Got a band that fits the bill? Email amplified@metalinsider.net.

I have to be honest, I’m totally burnt out on tech death for the most part. It’s got a lot to do with the lack of dynamic and variety in the style personally, but San Francisco’s Sentient Ignition are changing the game on that front with their firsts taste of what the band is working on.

The two songs they have available here run at 7 and 9 minutes respectively, and cover an insane amount of musical ground, from the typical tech blur of blast beats, to midtempo melodic death march, to a little bit of grim black metalling, with a side of understated clean vocals to boot. The musicianship here is top-tier for sure, and I’m totally intrigued to hear what these guys do next.
