After paying his dues composing the soundtracks for low budget schlock films like The Social Network (apparently he won some statue of a naked gold dude for it) and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (so European it might as well be a documentary about soccer), it’s about damn time Trent Reznor got the project he so richly deserves: composing the score for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Based on the popular book, the movie revolves around Abraham Lincoln avenging the death of his mother from a vampire by killing as many of the creatures as he can with his trusty axe. Slashfilm also reports that Reznor is lucky enough to have been cast as the vampire responsible for the murder of Abraham Lincoln’s mother. He is a man of many talents. Oh yeah, and it’s going to be in 3D – suck on that The King’s Speech!
Note: the trailer above isn’t the one for the movie but rather for the book, but who cares – it’s still awesome.
