2012’s arrest of Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe on suspicion of manslaughter and the subsequent trial that took place last year was harrowing enough following it from home. Imagine having unprecedented access to the whole thing as it took place. That’s part of the draw of As the Palaces Burn, a documentary that’s debuting at theaters starting in February.
Starting out as a story about the band and their worldwide fan base, it took a bizarre left turn as Blythe was arrested in Prague on suspicion of manslaughter. It looks to be one of the best metal documentaries to come out in some time, and it’s going to be playing at theaters nationwide. You’ll be able to find out where and when the film is showing by going here, then clicking on the green “Cinemas” icon and entering your zip code. It’s interesting that as of now, there are no plans to show it in New York, the biggest city in the world. However, since Metal Insider is in Jersey, we have nothing to worry about. See you on March 6! Check the trailer out below.
