Former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza is airing more dirty laundry; first he spoke about the “very unfair deal,” he got to rejoin the band for an almost-Rust In Peace-era line-up, and now he’s accusing Dave Mustaine of ripping him off for his, “publishing royalties.”
Said Menza on his Facebook page:
To: Dave Mustaine in regards to my publishing royalties. I find it very unprofessional that you conduct business like a child, quit playing games! be a man and stop taking food from my kids mouths. Its my earned money, Not yours. quit ripping me off. WTF?
Menza was Megadeth’s second longest tenured drummer, appearing on four studio albums, including Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction. Menza was almost back in the band to fill the vacant drum spot following the sudden departure of Shawn Drover, but the recording session gig went to Chris Adler from Lamb of God instead. Considering Dave is charging people to play with him now, it can’t be that surprising that Menza didn’t make the cut.
