With their most recent self-titled release in 2011, and an Ozzfest Japan appearance announced in May, Evanescence have announced a few shows here in the US. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday for fans, with more details to come on the Evanescence website.
The band announced their first show since late 2012 with a three-show mini-tour yesterday:
“You know, we’re already playing Japan, and it seems like a waste to do all that practicing for just one show…. So to finally answer the question many of you have been asking since the Ozzfest announcement, YES. We’re adding 3 US dates in November!”
The band’s last release debuted at #1 back in 2011 on Wind-Up Records, selling 127,180 copies in its first week or release. Last year vocalist Amy Lee sued the label, claiming that Wind-Up, “hatched a plot to sabotage Evanescence by replacing its promoters with a bunch of idiots who ended up torpedoing the group with lame ideas.”
