anthraxIt’s been almost a year since the legendary House of Blues Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA announced, not just the closing of its doors but its demolition to build a hotel complex in August 7th. and as one of the primary venues hosting metal shows in the West Hollywood area, it will have its last metal show on Wednesday July 29 headlined by thrash giants Anthrax. The band’s bassist, Frank Bello, comments about the venue:

Every show we’ve done at the Sunset House of Blues has been a party, everyone who we’re friends with who’s not on tour shows up, either to jam or drink or just hang out.  And I’ll really miss that.  Sunset Boulevard has lost its last great place to play.
Drummer, Charlie Benante, also declared:
The memories that have been created will always live on for anyone who went to the HOB.  I feel honored and privileged to have this last chance to blow the roof off of the HOB.  The Strip will soon end up looking like a corporate strip mall, no memories there.
The band is in the final stages of recording the follow up to Worship Music that is expected out in early 2016

Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
