Slaves guitarist Alex Lyman was stabbed last night, and apparently without any provocation. While he suffered multiple wounds, he insists he won’t be missing any upcoming tour dates; Slaves are scheduled to join the Vans Warped Tour in mid July.
From Lyman’s Instagram account:
“Last night I was stabbed in the side with a 4 inch cut that is 2 inches deep and a centimeter from my spleen. This was all from a felon with prior charges who is now in prison. There was no confrontation and nothing was done to provoke this. It was spilt because I’m a “faggot in skinny jeans” I have multiple slices on my throat and arms but only one serious one and I’ll still be at all slaves dates. Wish the world could stop hating what they don’t understand.”
Lyman posted the photo below to his Instagram account, showing what appears to be two of the injuries sustained in the attack.
Lyman recently came to the defense of Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke, who was facing allegations of sexual assault, saying Radke is, “one of the nicest and most sincere people i know.”
Slaves’ debut album, Through Art We Are All Equals, came out about a year ago, debuting at #50 on the Billboard Charts, selling 5,500 copies in its first week of release.
