In 2005, Deftones were pretty much at the height of their popularity. Frontman Chino Moreno formed a side project, Team Sleep, and recorded  their only album. Blending showegaze, trip-hop and pop influences, Team Sleep was a pretty short-lived project, with a few live shows and additional demos recorded before the Moreno concentrated on his main band, as well as Crosses and Palms. Last year, the band announced that they would be recording a live album at Woodstock, NY’s Applehead Studios in front of a live audience. The result, Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4, will be released on July 10th (and can be preordered here). In addition to reworked songs from the album, there are also songs that had only previously appeared in demo form. Rolling Stone has premiered “Blvd. Nights,” a reworked version of the song from their debut album. The band’s lineup includes Moreno, co-founder Todd Wilkinson, Chuck X from Crosses, CrookOne, Rick Verret and drummer Gil Sharone (Stolen Babies, Marilyn Manson).

Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4 will be released on July 10th, but the band also plans on releasing studio EPs and playing some live events soon.
