The initial lineup announcement of Killer be Killed sounded almost too good to be true. The frontmen of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Soulfly/Cavalera Consipiracy with Troy Sanders from Mastodon and Dave Elitch from the Mars Volta? While the album delivered, the logistical schedule of the band meant that they wouldn’t all be readily available to go on tour to support it, and other than shooting a few videos and doing an interview or two, they’d barely all been in the same room together.

That all changed this past weekend at Australia’s Soundwave festival, as the band made their first live appearance. It wasn’t without its issues, as Elitch couldn’t make it due to playing with Antemasque, ironically also on Soundwave. They got Converge’s Ben Koller to fill in instead, though (Koller be Killed?), and rounded out the band with MonstrO’s Juan Montoya. Here’s the band’s set list, with some fan-filmed footage above and below:

– “Wings Of Feather And Wax”
– “Melting Of My Marrow”
– “Face Down”
– “Curb Crusher”
– “Save The Robots”
– “Twelve Labors”
– “Fire To Your Flag”
– “I.E.D.”
– “Snakes Of Jehovah”
