The 2013 release of Unblackened by Black Label Society was an acoustic album, recorded live at a one-off show in LA. Now the band is finally taking the album on the road. The performance will also include music from Zakk’s solo album, Book of Shadows and his 90s band Pride & Glory. Wino will be providing support.
Said Zakk Wylde of the upcoming tour:
“I always wanted to take Unblackened on the road, we just didn’t have the time until now,” said Wylde. “You can take a song that you’ve played thousands of times and rearrange it, and all of a sudden it’s something totally fresh. The attitude of the songs doesn’t change when we play them acoustically–the tunes are gritty regardless.”
Black Label Society just wrapped up touring with Hatebreed and Butcher Babies, along with an appearance on this years Shiprocked Cruise.
