One of the more unlikely reunions in hair metal came in 2007, when singer Stephen Pearcy rejoined Ratt for the third time. After leaving in 2000, the singer had sued the band for rights to the name, yet in 2007, he returned, and the  band’s 2009 album, Infestation, was a success. The reunion proved to be short-lived, as the band went on hiatus the following year. Last year, despite the fact that the band was working on a new album, Pearcy quit the band again. And according to the  an interview on Eddie Trunk’s “Trunk Nation” radio show, he’s not about to come back.

“It’s a permanent vacation, and as far as I’m concerned; the door’s shut. The time has passed for a record.”

Pearcy’s words seem to be backed up by Ratt’s website. It hasn’t been updated since last year, and neither have the band Facebook or Twitter. If the band are working on new music, they’re doing so without a vocalist. Pearcy told Trunk that he’s still in touch with bassist Juan Croucier, but that’s about it as far as his other Ratt-mates.
