Lionize have been closely tied in with Clutch since the band began seven years ago. Clutch has often brought the band out on the road with them, and their guitarist Tim Sult has played with the band, who play reggae-tinged stoner rock. Now signed to the band’s Weathermaker Music label, they’re recording their new album at The Machine Shop with Machine and Clutch’s Jean-Paul Gaster co-producing. In the above video, they talk about the new album and how involved JP and Machine are with the music. The band’s about to go on tour with Spacehog and Sponge (what?) before heading out on the road with Clutch. The new album is expected out in the first quarter of next year.
