Iced Earth announced its new studio album Plagues Of Babylon a month or so ago, and now an official release date and tour has been confirmed. The new album will be out January 21, 2014 on Century Media. As an added bonus, the album will also feature appearances from Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen, Symphony X/Adrenaline Mob singer Russell Allen, and Blind Guardian singer Hansi Kürsch.

In support of the album, the band has released dates for the Worldwide Plagues Tour, which will feature Sabaton and ReVamp. There has been some speculation that Iced Earth will be playing at next year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, which is held from April 17 to 19. The band’s list of tour dates all but confirms that it will be playing since the date April 19 is scheduled for The Palladium in Worcester, MA. That also means we’ll probably see Sabaton and ReVamp on the bill as well.

Check out the dates, as well as lyric video for the album’s title track, below for what’s looking like a solid year for Iced Earth.
