According to the Sylosis Facebook page, the band has made it home safe and sound following an RV accident in the States that left most of the band hospitalized. After an apparently successful fan-funded campaign to get them home, guitarist and vocalist Josh Middleton posted yesterday from London that everyone is back safely and asks that fans stop sending them money. The band has repeatedly said their aim is not to cash in on the bad experience. He wrote:
Hey everyone. We’d like to ask people to stop donating to our paypal as of now. We can’t thank everyone enough for their support and generosity but we do not want to begin to exploit or profit from the incident (not that we’ve reached that point by any means). As mentioned before, the donating has not been something we’ve been entirely comfortable with but we’re extremely grateful to everyone who has helped us.
The exclusive tshirts will still be available for pre-order until the 11th of October. These are only being printed on demand so there will be no additional stock leftover.
We are all back home now and resting up over the next few weeks. Although it may change certain aspects of touring for us, we do intend to put this behind us and get back to playing live.
Thanks again for your continued support and concern.
Josh
Sylosis also posted a public thank you to the bands TesseracT and Katatonia for carting their gear back to Los Angeles for them. What a great group of gents all around. No word on when Sylosis will be able to return to touring, but we wish them a speedy recovery.
