In a little more than two weeks (9/27), Metallica’s first foray into filmmaking, Metallica Through the Never, will be released in every IMAX theater in North America. The following week, it’ll expand into non-IMAX theaters. And while the movie’s going to be everywhere pretty soon, it’s kind of fascinating how little is known about it right now. Over the weekend, two new trailers have been unveiled that give slightly more context to the film. We know that it’s about a Metallica roadie sent on a mission, but looking at the two clips shown, it appears that the movie and concert will be interspersed with each other. In other words, don’t expect to see a full song of Metallica playing. As far as the scenes with the roadie (Dehaan!) go, it looks like there are some visual cues from Pink Floyd’s The Wall. Check out the two trailers and let us know what you think.
