Korn’s 11th album, The Paradigm Shift, will be released in October on their new label, Prospect Park. And while the album’s first single, “Never Never,” hasn’t officially been released yet, it’s made its way online via SoundCloud and a rip from a radio station. While Korn claimed the new album, their first with guitarist Brian “Head” Welch back in the band since 2003’s Take a Look in the Mirror, wouldn’t be another dubstep album like their last, The Path of Totality, the first taste of the new album spits the difference. There’s definitely some dubsteppy stuff going on, especially in the break around 2:20. And the song itself is more new wave-sounding than heavy. In fact, for the the first album with Head back in the band, it’s really hard to make out any guitars. It actually reminded us more of Type O Negative than Korn. So what are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments section below.
The Paradigm Shift will be out on October 8.
UPDATE: while the song is now available for streaming via Korn’s Facebook page, it can also still be heard in the video below.
