After parting ways with Sabaton last year, guitarists Oskar Montelius and Rikard Sundén, drummer Daniel Mulback, and keyboardist Daniel Mÿhr decided to join forces in their own group Civil War. After recruiting singer Nils Patrik Johansson and bassist Stefan “Pizza” Eriksson, the Swedish metal group released its self-titled EP to great acclaim. And tomorrow (June 11), Civil War will release its debut full-length The Killer Angels worldwide via Despotz Records. But why wait till tomorrow to hear the album?
Metal Insider is excited to premiere The Killer Angels in its entirety the day before its official release. Inspired by Michael Shaara’s novel about the battle of Gettysburg, Civil War’s debut album will please fans of Sabaton and metal in general. So listen to The Killer Angels in its entirety in the player below. If you liked what you heard (which we bet you will), then make sure to pick up a copy of the album when it’s released tomorrow.
UPDATE: Sorry, but the stream has been taken down. You’ll have to buy the album if you want to hear it again.
