Did you like hearing Ghost B.C.’s covers of ABBA’s “I’m A Marionette” and The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun”? Then wait till you hear what Papa Emeritus II and his ghouls did with Depeche Mode’s “Waiting For The Night!” Ghost B.C. originally recorded and released it for the Japanese version of their latest album Infestissumam. However, it was only a matter of time till the cover made its way online. And though it’s not too unusual to see metal groups cover Depeche Mode (everyone from Lacuna Coil to Marilyn Manson, from The Dillinger Escape Plan with Chino Moreno to Matt Heafy of Trivium), Ghost B.C.’s satanic and evil take on the English new wave single is nonetheless pretty awesome. Take a listen for yourself in the video above [at least until it’s taken down], and hear the original version below.
