This past Friday night (November 30), Metal Blade Records celebrated its 30th anniversary with a show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, CA. Hosted by That Metal Show’s Eddie Trunk and Don Jamieson, the event featured performances by Armored Saint, Sacred Reich and Gypsy Hawk. And as an added bonus, Armored Saint performed a handful of covers with numerous special guests, Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth), Ray Alder (Fates Warning/Redemption), Dug Pinnick (King’s X) and others.
Two highlights of the night specifically, though, came when Armored Saint performed Metallica’s “Hit The Lights” with Hegg and Slayer’s “Die By The Sword” with Alder. And of course, fan filmed footage of the performances have made its way online, you can check out a clip of numerous performances above, while more footage of individual covers can be seen after the jump.
