Jesse Leach may now be back in Killswitch Engage, but the singer wasn’t completely out of the music scene during the ten years prior to his return. One of Leach’s many groups included Seemless, the heavy rock group also featuring drummer Derek Kerswill (ex-Unearth), guitarist Pete Cortese (Death Ray Vision/ex-Overcast), and bassist Jeff Fultz. The group called it quits for good in 2009 after two full-lengths. Three years after Seemless’ demise, though, their 2005 self-titled album is getting the vinyl reissue treatment.

Though an exact release date has yet to be announced, newly formed label Nefarious Realm, Threshold of Pain Records will release Seemless on vinyl. The reissue will feature the song “Haze,” which appeared on Losing Face Records’ original version but was left off of Equal Vision’s re-release. However, only 500 copies of the vinyl reissue will be released.

Kerswill had the following to say about the limited vinyl reissue:

“The more time goes on, the more it seems like people appreciate Seemless. I’m certainly thankful that people appreciated us at all! Our sound had such a retro vibe, so thinking about it being released on vinyl is really exciting to me! I have selfishly wanted both records for MYSELF on vinyl for a long time and these numbered 500 copies are ALL that the world will ever see!”

Though made up of essentially an all-star Masscore lineup, Seemless was a big departure from its predecessors, sounding more like a stoner metal group than metalcore. But with Leach back in Killswitch Engage, more people might be inclined to either discover or revisit Seemless. Listen to “Haze” in the video clip above.
