It was an explosive week 2 in the Big Brother house – but Jenn Arroyo has managed to once again stay (mostly) drama free. We saw one contestant self implode – Willie Hantz, brother of Survivor “Super Villain” Russell Hantz – could not take the heat and attacked Joe. Physical violence may be ok in mosh pits, but not in the Big Brother house. The producers removed Willie from the game, and in doing so got Jenn one step closer to bringing home the $500,000 prize. We saw Jenn’s softer side while this was happening as she consoled Willie’s coach Brittany Haynes.
Before all this happened, Jenn’s teammate Frank won the Head of Household, and since she has a pretty strong bond with him, she knew she would not be nominated for eviction this week. There was an incident that almost caused a rift between them however. Since the Big Brother house has a lot of people and limited beds, the two of them were sharing a bed last week. Frank has been one of the most flatulant houseguests this season, and in the middle of the night he let one rip “on her”. She freaked out momentarily, but cooler heads prevailed. Jenn’s ability to let things go and not let her emotions run wild has helped her up to this point. All it takes is one argument to get out of control and friends can become enemies in that pressure cooker.
As mentioned before Frank won HoH and nominated Shane & fellow NYer Jo Jo for eviction this week. Shane won his second straight Power of Veto and used it to remove himself from the block. Frank nominated Danielle as his replacement, and either her or Jo Jo will be sent packing on Thursday night’s live show. Jenn & Jo Jo have been cordial to each other despite being in opposite alliances (the New York bond is strong!). But who will Jenn vote to evict this week? Jo Jo is a stronger player, but can also be an ally down the road. Danielle is not a huge threat and would probably not target Jenn right away if she happens to get power.
Jenn’s under the radar strategy is working for now. But there are cracks starting within her alliance of 6. She is considering all of her options this week and we will see where she stands with her vote on Thursday. And if she happens to win the next HoH, who will her targets be? Tune in to Big Brother on CBS every Thursday, Sunday and Wednesday to find out
