Fans who saw Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Red Fang last night (November 3) in San Francisco are truly lucky. None other than Mike Patton joined The Dillinger Escape Plan for a rendition of “When Good Dogs Do Bad Things,” off of Irony Is a Dead Scene (the EP that DEP recorded with Patton while they were in between singers). This isn’t the first time Patton has performed with the band live (in fact, one show they played together also included a Faith No More and Justin Timberlake cover). However, it’s pretty awesome to see the Faith No More/Mr. Bungle singer swapping vocals onstage with current frontman Greg Puciato.
You can watch fan filmed footage of Patton joining The Dillinger Escape Plan onstage in San Francisco above. And who knows, maybe Patton and DEP guitarist Ben Weinman’s collaboration will come out soon afterall.
