New England Metal And Hardcore Festival will sit out 2026, with organizers confirming thelong-running event will take a planned break while assuring an inevitable return. The Worcester, Massachusetts-based festival, which first launched in 1999, originally ran through 2018 before entering a five-year hiatus and returning in 2023.
On Friday, January 16, organizers shared an update via social media explaining the decision to step back, stating:
“After a great run, we’re taking 2026 off. This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a breather. NEMHF will return. Thank you for always showing up and making this fest what it is.”
