Death metal outfit Vitriol will press forward following the dramatic mid-tour collapse that left frontman Kyle Rasmussen, his girlfriend, and their dog stranded in New York after the rest of the band abruptly quit. According to Rasmussen, now that he has returned home to Oregon and raised more than $10,000, he will continue with the band and their current touring plans, set for as early as February 2026. Despite uncertainty surrounding the band’s future, including recruiting new members, Vitriol confirmed on Monday (22nd) that Rasmussen intends to honor the band’s previously announced European support tour alongside Bölzer, The Ruins Of Beverast, Misþyrming, and Trepaneringsritualen. Who will accompany Rasmussen onstage for that run has not yet been revealed.
Rasmussen addressed the following via Instagram:
“I am pleased to announce that, even in light of recent events, Vitriol will still be supporting the mighty @bolzerband alongside @misthyrming, @theruinsofbeverast, and @t__r__p__ across Europe this upcoming February. Thank you to those who continue to show their support.”
