AC/DC kicked off their Australian Tour, the long-awaited return to their homeland, on November Wednesday (12). These legends performed before 80,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, making their first Australian show in a decade a success. Continuing their Power Up World Tour, these legends shocked the crowd by reviving the Bon Scott-era classic “Jailbreak” for the first time in over 34 years, since 1991.

The set also featured Powerage track “Riff Raff” and opener “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)”, both making their Australian live debuts. The current lineup, Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, Chris Chaney, and Matt Laug, will wrap up their 2025 touring cycle in Australia through December before heading to South America and Mexico early next year, followed by a North American summer tour. AC/DC tickets are available at this location.

Meanwhile, 374 bagpipers break the world record in AC/DC’s honor. Earlier, 374 bagpipers gathered at Melbourne’s Federation Square to perform “It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock’ n’ Roll)”, breaking the previous world record of 333 pipers set in Bulgaria in 2012. Dubbed The Great Melbourne Bagpipe Bash, the event took place on the same street where AC/DC filmed their iconic 1976 video for the song. Two original members of the Rats of Tobruk Pipe Band, Kevin Conlon and Les Kenfield, returned to play once more, joined by pipers from across Australia and New Zealand.
