Behemoth frontman Nergal will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic), with a special live performance at Beyond the Gates 2026 in Bergen, Norway, running July 29–August 1. For this exclusive event, Nergal will perform without his Behemoth bandmates, instead teaming up with Icelandic black metal group Misþyrming to bring the 1995 album to life in full. The collaboration marks the first time Sventevith will be performed as a complete conceptual work. According to festival organizers, the event will be part of a handful of exclusive festival appearances throughout Europe where Nergal will continue celebrating the album’s 30th anniversary. Tickets to Beyond The Gates are available at this location.

Read the full announcement below:

“We have two announcements for you this week, and the first one is a set we’re particularly exited about:

@nergal69 will join forces with @misthyrming as they’re bringing @behemothofficial’s first album, «Sventevith», live in full, to Beyond the Gates 2026

In 2026, Sventevith — the seminal debut album by Behemoth — will rise again in a series of exclusive festival appearances across Europe, including Beyond the Gates and Bergen. Marking the 30th anniversary of its original release, Nergal will revisit the dark origins of his musical legacy, performing Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic) in its entirety.

This extraordinary set will see Nergal joined by Icelandic black metal visionaries Misþyrming, whose raw energy and uncompromising intensity have reshaped the modern black metal landscape. Together, they will summon the primal spirit of the 1995 release — an album that laid the foundation for Behemoth’s evolution from underground obscurity to global extremity.

Performed live for the first time as a full conceptual work, Sventevith will return as both a tribute and a transformation: a rare convergence of heritage and renewal, honoring Behemoth’s roots while embracing the ferocity of a new generation.

We can’t wait to witness this in Bergen next year.”
