Two strong records

Cattle Decapitation especially had a successful 2023 with the release of yet another strong record added to their catalog, Terrasite. The album landed at number six on Metal Insider’s combined list for best albums of the year. The point system was based on each writer’s list. Ultimately, it was placed at number seven on Ian’s and six on Zenae’s and Alex’s lists.

As for Carnifex, the group also had a rewarding year with their latest release, Necromanteum, which arrived in October 2023 via Nuclear Blast. The band’s own Scott Ian Lewis also took some time to collaborate. The singer teamed up with The Convalescence to appear on their single “No Survivors.” The track is taken from The Convalescence’s latest offering, Harvesters Of Flesh And Bone, which arrived in November 2023 via Cleopatra Records.
