Guns N’ Roses have released their newest single titled “Perhaps.” Originally debuting on New York’s Q104.3 at midnight on August 17th, the song is now available on all streaming platforms. The long-awaited track had been teased for months after using it before a show in Tel Aviv, Israel, as part of their soundcheck. Talk within the Guns N’ Roses camp hit a high in July when it was said they were working on new material, having a slew of things already recorded. For the die-hard fans who have been with the band through thick and thin, they should know that “Perhaps” sounds eerily familiar to a leaked version that has been floating around the internet for years after tapes from the Chinese Democracy sessions were found in a storage locker purchased by a fan.
This piano-laden midtempo song gives off a Rocky Horror Picture Show meets Jamiroquai-type vibe, with lyrics that take the listener on a trip down a hole of self-doubt, regret, and self-reflection. “Perhaps” is the third new song from Guns N’ Roses in recent years and the first since the 2021 releases of “Hard Skool” and “Absurd”. These coincidentally are also from the Chinese Democracy Sessions era but have been updated by bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan.
Guns N’ Roses are currently on their World Tour, which runs until October 16th. For all things Guns N’ Roses, head to their official website here.
