This week we’ve lost not one but two remarkable musicians: former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison and Metal Church vocalist Mike Howe. Both passed away on July 26th, 2021 as the tributes for both continue to pour. While we’ve shared a few reactions on Jordison, Slipknot and Stone Sour have blacked out their social media in honor of the founding Slipknot member, who was known as #1. Musicians, bands, and fans alike have been sharing their memories of Jordison and Howe via social media as the music world continues to mourn this loss.

We are saddened by the news of the passing of our dear friend, Joey Jordison. From being able to share the stage with him numerous times throughout the years to Matt standing alongside him for the Roadrunner United album. He was always super gracious to all of us in Trivium. pic.twitter.com/LS8E06QT0A
